Peace through Education and Inclusion

This video shows Balo-i Central Elementary School, which is one of the schools that “Children of Mindanao” reaches out to. Many of these children belong to ethnic and religious minority groups, located in one of the poorest provinces in southern Philippines. Towards the end of the video, young girls and boys share their dreams for a peaceful future.

In January 2018, “Children of Mindanao” will again travel to Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur in order to not only distribute school supplies, but to also help rebuild libraries.

The recent war in Marawi City caused the displacement of thousands of Maranao families and children. Homes and schools have been destroyed as well. However, hope is not lost as we help the government, civil society organizations and foreign institutions in the rebuilding Lanao.
